The British Show Pony society, founded in 1949, is a family orientated society which aims to improve the showing of the
children’s riding pony by promoting classes and competitions for childrens’ show ponies, show hunter ponies, working hunter
ponies and mountain and moorland ponies. More recently, classes for intermediate and associate riders have been included.
In addition to the five shows a year, Area 16 encourages members to be involved in a whole variety of additional activities.
